Evans Haile

Evans Haile, General Director of Opera North, has a unique background encompassing theatre, music, and broadcasting. Along with Opera North, he is also the Executive Director of the Award-winning York Theatre company in New York City. Previous to coming to Opera North, he was Producing Artistic Director of the historic Cape Playhouse (America's Oldest Professional Summer Theatre) from 1999-2014. As a conductor, the orchestras and opera companies he has worked with include the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Boston POPs, the Florida Grand Opera, and currently the Gainesville (Fla.) orchestra, to name a few.
