Summer Lecture Series Parking

Parking Lot1. Dartmouth CollegeDewey Lot and Thompson Arena Lot: A permit is required and available at the OSHER@Dartmouth office - 7 Lebanon Street, Suite 7, Hanover, NH (next to Salt Hill Pub and Hanover Parking Garage) at no charge and on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a shuttle from both parking lots or you may walk. View the shuttle schedule here. While these permits are available to all attendees, we hope that lecture patrons will request permits only if they plan to attend the full series.

2. Patrons may obtain a Town of Hanover parking permit for Hovey Lane or any other Town of Hanover Permit Parking space. Please email the OSHER@Dartmouth office or call (603) 646-0154 to put your name on a list for a permit. There are only 50 permits available. We will notify you when available for pick-up. You will have to go to the Hanover Town Office and give them your contact information as well as your vehicle information before they give you the permit for all 6 lectures.

3. Hanover High School parking lot in front of the soccer field offers complimentary parking for Summer Lecture attendees.  No permit required.

4. Hanover Parking Garage: located on Lebanon Street, Hanover. Standard parking rates apply.

5. Metered parking spaces are available throughout town at their standard posted rates. Be aware of the time limit for the meter at your chosen spot – most town spaces limit parking to two hours. Long-term parking is available at Marshall Lot, behind CVS, for up to 10 hours. (Caution: Marshall Lot fills quickly in the morning — we recommend arriving by 8:15 - 8:30 AM to obtain a space.)

6. DO NOT park at Howe Library. You may receive a parking ticket or be towed. These spaces are for patrons visiting the library.

The town of Hanover will be enforcing parking regulations pertaining to metered spaces and permit-only spaces. If you receive a ticket for a parking violation and wish to appeal, you must contact Hanover's Parking Division directly — the OSHER@Dartmouth office cannot resolve parking issues on your behalf.
