Join Osher at Dartmouth for a 3-night, 4-day bus trip to Quebec City!

This trip includes round-trip bus transportation from Lebanon, NH to Quebec City. Our group will spend three nights and four days taking in the sights. We will stay at Delta Hotel, located right at the city gates and within easy walking distance of many points of interest. Three dinners included, daily breakfast included at the hotel, a wine tasting, a chocolate-making class, and visits to various historical sites.  There will also be time to explore on your own.  Lunches are not included.

PRELIMINARY ITINERARY (times may change)

Day 1: Sunday, May 21

8:30 AM — Depart Lebanon, NH

12:45 PM — After customs, we will stop in Drummondville for lunch at Restaurant Toujours Mikes. (Lunch is not included in tour price.)

4:30 - 5:00 PM — Arrive at Delta Hotel; check in and get settled

6:30 PM — Dinner at l'Entrecote Saint Jean

 

Day 2: Monday, May 22

8:00 AM — Breakfast at hotel

9:00 AM — Leave for full day tour of Quebec City and St Anne de Beaupre

Today's highlights include: The Plains of Abraham, Cape Diamond, Joan of Arc Garden, Grande-Allée, Parliament, Place d'Armes, Château Frontenac, the Artist's Alley, Place Royale and Petit Champlain Street in the morning. After lunch, we'll enjoy a drive along Old King's Road, with stops at the Woodcarver's Museum, the Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Basilica, and the Copper Museum and Workshop.

6:30 PM — Dinner at Pub D'Orsay

 

Day 3: Tuesday, May 23

7:30 AM — Breakfast at hotel

9:00 AM — Tour of the Island of Orleans

The Island of Orléans celebrates Québec's rural tradition with its gorgeous scenery stretching along the banks of the St. Lawrence River. You'll experience the rich and vibrant culture of this island jewel, which is the birthplace of New France. Witnesses to the past, more than 600 buildings are part of our cultural and historical heritage, including the oldest church in Nouvelle France. Six charming villages dot the island with their gardens, restaurants, boutiques and art galleries. On your return, you'll have a magnificent view of the Montmorency Falls.

11:30 AM — Wine tasting at Vignoble du Mitan

1:00 PM — Lunch on your own in Old Quebec

3:00 PM — Discover Tour of the Morrin Centre and Old Jail

Built over 200 years ago as the city's first prison, the Morrin Centre now also houses one of the world's most beautiful libraries. This National Historic Site is yours to discover. Walk through the sinister jail cells; see graffiti carved into the floors by inmates and the iron rings used to chain them down; visit the place where the condemned were hanged. Unlock the stories hidden in the magical Victorian library, housing unique masterpieces dating from the 16th century.

6:30 PM — Dinner at the Erableire du Lac Beauport

 

Day 4: Wednesday, May 24 (Departure Day)

7:30 AM — Breakfast at hotel

9:30 AM — Load bus; head home

1:00 PM — Stop once again at Mike's for lunch on the return trip (Lunch is not included in the tour price.)

6:30 PM — Arrival in Lebanon, NH

In order to register for this trip, you will need to supply a copy of your passport and the cost of registration.

PASSPORT: You can send digital images of your passport to osher@dartmouth.edu or visit our office at 1 Court Street, Suite 350, Lebanon, NH during office hours and present your passport to a staff member.

REGISTRATION OPTIONS: (You can select one of the following)

CANCELLATION POLICY

If this trip is cancelled, you will receive a full refund. If you wish to cancel your registration, we must be able to fill your seat before we can provide you with a refund less a $200 fee. If we cannot fill your seat, we cannot provide a refund.
