Explore Rome and the Amalfi coast over the course of nine days, with an optional 3-night Florence pre-tour extension. Trip includes round-trip airfare from Logan Airport in Boston, 13 meals (8 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 4 dinners), and hotel transfers.

Day 3, Tuesday, October 22: Walking tour of Rome with free time in the evening
Day 4, Wednesday, October 23: Optional tour to the Vatican, free time in the afternoon, optional food tour dinner
Day 5, Thursday, October 24: Journey to the Amalfi Coast with a stop at the Benedictine monastery of Montecassino, settle into the hotel this afternoon, then enjoy dinner
Day 6, Friday, October 25: Amalfi Coast excursion by boat, stopping in Amalfi and proceeding to Positano
Day 7, Saturday, October 26: Visit to a pasta factory, then on to Sorrento for a mozzarella-cheese making demo at a local farmhouse, followed by a farm-to-table dinner
Day 8, Sunday, October 27: Day at leisure with an optional boat trip to Capri
Day 9, Monday, October 28: Visit Pompeii with an optional guided tour or time for independent exploration; farewell dinner this evening
Day 10, Tuesday, October 29: Tour ends
