Thank You for Your Generous Support — We’ve Reached $100,000!
We are thrilled to share wonderful news with our community: thanks to your generosity,
the Osher Fund has reached — and surpassed — the $100,000 threshold!
As of November 2024, your contributions helped us achieve this important milestone
in just twelve months. Reaching $100,000 was imperative, as it allows the Osher Fund
to become a permanent endowment. Because of you, we have secured a lasting foundation
that will provide critical annual distributions to support programming and operations
at Osher at Dartmouth.
Even more exciting, the current balance of our Endowment, as of the end of February
2026, stands at $133,000 — and growing.
This achievement is a testament to the strength and commitment of our community. Your
support is vital to the future of Osher, and we look ahead with deep gratitude and
optimism.
While we celebrate this milestone, our work continues. Building a strong endowment
is an ongoing effort, and we must continue growing the fund to ensure that years from
now our program remains vibrant, accessible, and strong. We are working closely with
Dartmouth on next steps and will share more information soon about how we can continue
expanding our now permanent endowment.
Gifts to the Osher Fund can still be made at any time, and we warmly welcome continued
contributions as we build for the future.
Currently, Membership and Course Fees cover only 66% of our overall expenses. The
establishment of a permanent Osher Fund will help close this gap and ensure financial
stability for years to come.
