Vikke Jas holds a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in the Environmental Sciences and Studies fields and has had her own environmental consulting practice since 2009. She's a certified Hazardous Materials Manager whose favorite projects solve problems by eliminating the use of hazardous materials altogether, instead of just managing waste streams. Her passion lies in walking the forested landscape, protecting it, and sharing its wonders with others.

Her curiosity, her experience in the field and her enthusiasm for citizen scientists supported her knowedge of the subject.
All aspects from geological history through the effects of gradual human settlement to the current situation of overcrowding and climate warming that we now find ourselves in were all interesting and well presented.
