Meet Our Study Leaders
Our volunteer Study Leaders are at the heart of Osher. Leading courses in a variety of formats, including facilitated discussions of books, films or ideas; informational lectures; hands-on instruction; and field trips. The topic selected may reflect either occupational expertise or an avocational passion.
The relationship between Study Leaders and class participants is uniquely egalitarian. The participants bring their own expertise and life experiences to the classroom, which makes for lively exchanges. This leads to teaching, in some cases for the first time, to be a rich and rewarding experience.
